What to Expect at a BrainTap Session?

Embarking on a BrainTap session can be an exciting journey towards enhanced mental clarity, reduced stress, and overall well-being. Understanding what happens during a BrainTap session can help you feel more comfortable and prepared, ensuring you get the most out of this innovative brainwave entrainment technology. Here’s a detailed overview of what to expect during a BrainTap session.

Before Your Session

If it is your first time, please contact our office to set up your first appointment. The first appointment will include:

  • complimentary health scan for adults over the age of 18

  • 15 minute detailed history, exam and consult with a doctor to ensure you are eligible for the therapy

  • 15-20 minute treatment session

On the day of your appointment, our friendly staff will greet you with a smile and guide you through the check-in process efficiently.

During Your Session

Once the initial consultation is complete, one of our experienced staff members will set you up in a quiet room in a zero-gravity chair to allow maximum relaxation. Our staff member will then explain and help you through the next steps:

1. Putting on the BrainTap Headset:

  • Headset: Put on the BrainTap headset, which is equipped with earphones and LED light visors. Adjust the fit so that it feels comfortable on your head.

  • Earphones: Make sure the earphones are securely in place to deliver the audio components effectively.

  • Visor: Position the LED light visor over your eyes, ensuring it is aligned comfortably.

2. Immersion in Audio-Visual Stimulation:

  • Audio: Through the earphones, you’ll hear a combination of binaural beats, isochronic tones, and guided voice instructions. These sounds are designed to guide your brain into a specific state, such as relaxation or heightened focus.

  • Visual: The LED lights in the visor will flash in specific patterns and frequencies. This visual stimulation complements the audio, helping to synchronize your brainwaves with the desired state.

3. Guided Meditation and Relaxation:

  • Guided Imagery: Many BrainTap sessions include guided imagery or visualization exercises. You’ll be gently guided through relaxing scenes or positive affirmations to enhance the entrainment process.

  • Breathing Techniques: Some sessions may also incorporate breathing techniques to deepen your relaxation and help you stay present.

4. Deepening the Experience:

  • As you relax and follow the guided instructions, you’ll begin to feel more deeply immersed in the experience. The combination of audio and visual stimuli helps your brain transition smoothly into the targeted brainwave state.

5. Completion and Transition:

  • Session End: At the end of the session, the audio and visual stimulation will gradually diminish, bringing you back to a normal waking state.

  • After Effects: You may feel a sense of calm, clarity, or rejuvenation immediately following the session. Take a few moments to sit quietly and adjust before resuming your daily activities.

After Your Session

To ensure long-term benefits and reinforce the progress made during the session, the practitioner may recommend the following:

1. Hydrate:

Drink a glass of water to help flush out any toxins released during the session and to keep your brain hydrated.

2. Reflect and Integrate:

Spend a few minutes reflecting on your experience. Notice any changes in your mental or emotional state and take note of any insights or thoughts that arose during the session.

3. Consistency for Best Results:

For optimal benefits, incorporate BrainTap sessions into your regular routine. Regular use can help reinforce positive changes and enhance overall well-being.
